Round Oak Stove is the topic of a Dec. 10 lecture at Museum at Southwestern Michigan College.
The free lecture begins at 1 p.m. in the Upton Educational Center of the museum, on the Dowagiac campus. The lecture, presented by Steve Arseneau, museum director, will feature the Round Oak Stove Co. and the city of Dowagiac. This is the last in a series of lectures highlighting the Round Oak Stove Co.
A new “Uniquely Round Oak” exhibit, showcasing the many stoves and other Round Oak items in the museum’s collection as well as some items from private collectors, will also be open during the Saturday lecture series.
The exhibit runs through December.
The museum is located on SMC’s Dowagiac campus, just off the Cherry Grove parking lot.
Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
