Michael L. “Mikey” Price, 54, of Hickory Road, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka following an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 18, 1956 in Beloit, Wis. to Kenneth Benton Price and Mattie Wilson (Andrews) Price. He graduated from Buchanan High School and lived in this area most of his life.

Michael was employed at United Store Fixtures. He served in the United States Army during peace time.

He is survived by his son, Michael Grice of South Bend; a grandson, Jonathan Grice; his father, Kenneth Price of South Bend; twin brother, James Leon (Kay) Price of Buchanan; brothers, Jerry Wayne (Carol) Price of Niles and Kenneth Rickey (Rebecca Lee) Price of Niles; sister, Mary Elizabeth (Richard) Bragg of Edwardsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Michael Harmon, who died at age 10; and his mother, Mattie Price.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Sheldon Seltzer of Buchanan Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating.
