Virginia M. Keeler, 84, of Dowagiac, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac.

Virginia was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Decatur, the daughter of Harley E. and Maleta B. (Goble) Smith.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Dowagiac and the senior center in Niles.

Survivors include a son, Ronald L. Neubauer of Dowagiac; two daughters, Sandra Neubauer of Mesa, Ariz. and Cherry West of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Norris (Eleanor) Smith of Decatur; and a sister-in-law, Marian Smith of Decatur.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Newell Funeral Home, Decatur, with James Abshagen officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services.

Burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur.
