Published 12:02 am Saturday, January 29, 2011

The Museum at Southwestern Michigan College invites the public to attend its second annual Valentines for Veterans program on Saturday, Feb. 5, from noon to 3 p.m.

Museum Educator Jennifer Quail will host the free program in the Upton Room at the museum.

The museum will provide supplies for visitors to make valentines to send to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Battle Creek.

Last year dozens of visitors made valentines, which were appreciated by patients and residents.

Come join in the fun of making a valentine for your sweetheart and one (or more) to send to a veteran. Bring a friend!

Craft materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!

No reservations are necessary.

The Museum at SMC is an interactive local history museum located on the Dowagiac campus of Southwestern Michigan College.

Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is free.

For any questions, contact the museum at 782-1334.
