Florence F. Myers, 96, formerly of W. Main Street, and longtime of Platt Street, Niles, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Buchanan Meadows Living Center.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1914, in Niles to Albert Edward and Mary (Moskow) Boulton.

She graduated from Niles High School and lived here all of her life.

As a young lady, she was employed at the former Thayer’s jewelers, Niles.

Florence was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Niles.

She enjoyed rug hooking with a regular group of friends and gardening.

She had also enjoyed many charter bus tours throughout the United States.

On Oct. 21, 1939, in Niles, she married Wilbur James Myers, who died on Oct. 23, 1980.

She was also preceded in death by a 10-year-old son, William Myers, and by her brother, Edward Boulton, and sisters, Mary Lorenzen and Lilli an Boulton.

Surviving family includes: her son, Robert (and Brenda) Myers of Niles; granddaughters, Diana Myers and Debra (and Scott) Sachman; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Nicole and Joshua.

Mass of Christian Burial for Florence Myers will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at St. Mary Catholic Church by the Rev. David Otto of the parish.

Committal rites follow at Calvary Cemetery, Niles.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with recitation of The Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
