The Edwardsburg tennis team made short work of visiting Coloma on Tuesday in Lakeland Conference action.

The Eddies blanked the Comets 8-0 to improve to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in conference action.

The Eddies dropped just three games in sweeping the doubles flights.

Edwardsburg vs. Buchanan

The visiting Buchanan tennis team took three out of four singles flights to defeat Edwardsburg 5-3 in a Lakeland Conference showdown on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bucks got wins from Nate Henckel, Derek Blank and Josh Whitfield in singles competition.

Buchanan split the doubles flights, winning at No. 1 with Ryan Henckel and Jake Welsh, as well as at No. 2 with Corey Thompson and Alex Kuhn.

The Eddies’ lone singles victory came at No. 4 with Tanner Woods.

Winning doubles flights for Edwardsburg were Doug Kessler and Jared Holts at No. 3, along with Derek Scott and Trent Baker at No. 4.

Visiting Edwardsburg defeated Brandywine 7-1 in a Lakeland Conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eddies swept the singles flights as Anthony Dopp, Hunter Woods, Cory Stoneburner and Tanner Woods were victorious.

The Bobcats picked up their lone victory at No. 2 doubles where Tyler Hartman and Colt Ditto defeated Andy Reynolds and Kyle Brovold 7-6(3) and 7-5.

Edwardsburg got wins from Josh Kozinski and Lucas DeVenney at No. 1 doubles, Doug Kessler and Jared Holst at No. 3 doubles and Trent Baker and Derek Scott at No. 4 doubles.
