The Dowagiac boys tennis team got wins at No. 1 and 2 singles, but got swept in the doubles flight in a 6-2 Wolverine Conference loss to against visiting Vicksburg in the first round of a quad tournament Monday.

Dowagiac was also blanked by Buchanan 8-0.

The Chieftains defeated a short-handed Galesburg-Augusta squad which only had three players 8-0.

Winning matches for Dowagiac were Craft, McClenahan and Sarao in straight sets.

Buchanan also defeated Vicksburg 6-2 and won two out of its three singles matches with Galesburg-Augusta.

The Chieftains will host Berrien Springs in a non-conference match today at 4 p.m.
