James E. Middleton, 56, of Cassopolis and formerly of Granger, passed away as a result of a one-vehicle accident in Cassopolis Tuesday afternoon.

James was born July 21, 1953 in South Bend to Howard and Florence (McCombs) Middleton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Additional visitation will be held one hour before services.

Burial will follow at Smith’s Chapel Cemetery.
