VICKSBURG – Evan and Ethan Zimmerman teamed up to account for eight of 13 runs as the Niles’ Senior baseball team started Michigan Little League District 15 tournament play Thursday night with an easy victory.

The All-Stars won 13-2 in five innings.

Ethan Zimmerman had four RBIs on a pair of two-run homeruns and Evan Zimmerman added four RBIs on a single and a double.

Brian Exner added three singles with one RBI, while Dallas Munger and Alec Landon each had a double.

Evan Zimmerman started on the mound for Niles striking out eight batters and only allowing one hit.

Alex Erwin came in to relieve Zimmerman in the middle of the fourth inning adding two strike outs to the Niles’ effort.

The All-Stars will meet the winner of the Cassopollis-Schoolcraft game on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Vicksburg.
