The Village of Vandalia is pleased to announce its first Underground Railroad Days Saturday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 18 from noon to 5 p.m. in and around Milo Barnes Park in Vandalia.

Featured will be bus tours of local Underground Railroad sites by the Underground Railroad Society of Cass County (URSCC). Dr. Michael Nassaney will speak about Ramptown Saturday at 11 a.m. The Minority Coalition of Cass County will sponsor a forum on the Kentucky Raid of 1847 on Saturday at 1 p.m., and Carol Bainbridge will speak on the URR in Cass County on Sunday at 2 p.m.

There will be a Classic Car Show on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with music by DJ Dennis Ash.
