Freddie Pearson Jr., 60, of Niles died at 10:16 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles of natural causes.

He was born June 28, 1949 in Millidgeville, Ga. He was a truck driver and U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He loved to fish and be with family.

He is survived by his parents, Fred C. Pearson, of Niles and Lorene Owens, of Irvinton, Ga.; brothers, Willie F. Pearson, of Niles, Vernon Pearson, of South Bend, Edisel Owens, of Irvinton, Ga., Kilroy Owens, of Irvinton, Ga. and Ronnie DeShazer, of Niles; sisters, Jeanette Pearson, of Niles, Dorothy Jean Pearson, of California, Karen Nesbit, of Irvinton, Ga., Pamela Yeager, of Niles, Leslie Owens, of Irvinton, Ga., Betty Pearson, of Mishawaka, Linda Owens, of Irvinton, Ga., Cunette Herron, of South Bend and Jennifer McMiller of Niles; a favorite aunt, Helen Pearson, of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Olivia Williams.

No services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
