Bobcats win pole vault relay

CONSTANTINE – The Brandywine pole vault relay team took first place at the Spring Break Relays at Constantine High School on Wednesday.

The team of Jacob Wieger, Austin Knight and Nicholas Srmek combined for a height of 27-6 to take first place.

Brandywine was also second in the shuttle hurdle relay with the team of Aaron Marquardt, Brenton Schau, Adrian Shell and Lance Prescott.

The Bobcats took third in the shot put relay, long jump relay, 4×800-meter relay and the 4×400-meter relay.

Brandywine was fourth in the high jump relay and 4×1,600-meter relay and fifth in the discus relay, 4×200-meter relay and the 4×100-meter relay.

The girls’ squad finished second in the pole vault relay with a combined height of 6-6.
That team consisted of Kelsey St. Clair, Pandhra Phegley and Gabrielle Cauwenberghs.
Brandywine also got third in the 4×100-meter relay, fourth in the shot put and long jump relays, 4×800-meter relay and 4×200-meter relay.

The Bobcats were fifth in the discus relay, shuttle hurdle relay and the 4×400-meter relay.
Brandywine will be back on the track April 14 when it hosts a scrimmage with Buchanan and Niles to dedicate the Bobcats’ new facility.
