Eleanor “Ellie” V. Bell, 81, of 1716 River Bluff Rd., Niles died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Riveridge Manor, Niles of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 30, 1929 in Webster, Mass. She came to the area 55 years ago from Springfield, Mass. She retired from Clark Equipment Co. in 1992 and was active in the senior bowling league and New Buffalo Yacht Club.

On June 16, 1951 in Webster, Mass. she married James “Jim” Bell, who survives. She is also survived by a son, Jeffrey Bell, of Stevensville, Mich.; daughter, Beverly Walenga, of Linthicum, Md.; sister, Edna Vogel, of Fabyan, Conn.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Paranto.

A private family memorial service will be held.
