SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Niles varsity wrestling team went 3-2 to finish third in Pool B at the extremely tough NIC Super Dual held at Adams High School on Saturday.

The Vikings defeated Elkhart Central 39-36, Mishawaka Marian 58-18 and South Bend Washington 39-29.

Niles was defeated by South Bend Riley 41-21 and Mishawaka 53-21.

Colin Burandt went 5-0 on the day for the Vikings, while Mike Gentry, Fritz Findiesen and Gage Pearison all were 4-1.

“The kids wrestled well this weekend against tough competition,” Niles coach Todd Hesson said.
