VANDALIA – Charles W. Lofton, 63, of 64277 Union Road, Vandalia, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center.

He was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Birmingham, Ala.

He is survived by: his mother, Bernice L. Crawford; two brothers, William Lofton and Ellis Lofton Jr.; and a sister, Joanne Hall.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Lofton Sr., and stepfather, Henry Crawford.
Cremation will take place. A private family service will be held.
