THREE OAKS – Visiting Brandywine snapped a five-game losing streak Friday night with a 44-14 victory over River Valley in a non-conference contest.

The Bobcats (2-6) scored early and often in routing the Mustangs, who scored a pair of meaningless fourth quarter touchdowns against Brandywine.

The Bobcats grabbed an early 8-0 lead as Jacob Frazier hauled in a 61-yard pass from Stone Hadley and Jesse McCombs tacked on the 2-point conversion.

Brandywine upped its advantage to 30-0 by halftime with a trio of touchdowns in the second quarter.

Hadley hit Cody Udell with a 20-yard scoring strike, while McCombs scored on a 5-yard run to make it 22-0.

Dustin Bell scooped up a fumble and rumbled 65 yards to pay dirt to extend the lead to 30-0 following the 2-point conversion run by McCombs.

The Bobcats completed the scoring in the third quarter with a 57-yard run by Dustin Sater and a fumble recovery in the end zone by Chanc Ravish.

Hadley scored the 2-point conversion following the Sater run.

Sater finished with 143 yards on nine carries, while Ravish added 68 yards on just four totes.

Hadley was an efficient 3-of-5 with a pair of touchdowns.

“We had a great team effort,” Brandywine coach Mike Nate said. “We made the most of our offensive possessions. Everybody got to play tonight and it was a solid team effort.”
The Bobcats had the ball for just 25 plays.

Brandywine will wrap up the 2009 season at home next Friday night against Bridgman.
“Hopefully we can end the season on a winning streak,” Nate said.
