Robert A. Granger / June 14, 1924-Sept. 27, 2009

Robert’s life began on June 14, 1924, in Benton Harbor, the son of Fred and Ethel (Case) Granger.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was married to Stella M. Zablocki Granger, who preceded him in death.

Robert worked as a house builder and tile layer for Sears and Roebuck and later for Rudy Manufacturing in Dowagiac.

He was a member of the DAV and a member of American Legion Post 365.

His family includes his son Mark (Pauline) Granger of Dowagiac and a grandson Andrew Granger of Niles.

He is preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Arthur, Harry and Fred Granger Jr. and a son Michael Granger in 2007.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (Prairie Ronde Street) in Dowagiac on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at 1 p.m. where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.

Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the family in care of Mark Granger.
