Cassopolis, Edwardsburg post wins

THREE OAKS – The Cassopolis Rangers improved to 4-0 with a 69-0 victory over host River Valley Friday night in a non-conference contest.
The Rangers scored early and often against the Mustangs, putting up 42 points in the opening quarter.
Cassopolis ran for 364 yards against River Valley, which was limited to just 74 yards in total offense.
Steven Eleazer passed for a touchdown and ran for another, while Marcus Ruff scored three times – one receiving and two running.
DaShaun Curtis also scored a pair of touchdowns for the Rangers, as did Jackson Conner.
Also scoring for the Rangers were Evan Brown and Nathan Hartline.
Cassopolis’ Devin Roberts recorded a safety.
The Rangers entertain Buchanan next Friday night in a Lakeland Conference showdown.
The Bucks were defeated by Berrien Springs, 29-14.

The Eddies picked up their first win of the season and squared their Lakeland Conference record at 1-1 with a 43-7 win over host Bridgman Friday night.
Edwardsburg (1-3, 1-1) scored 15 points in the opening quarter and led 29-0 at halftime.
The Eddies added a score in each of the final two quarters, while the Bees averted the shutout with a touchdown in the final quarter.
Edwardsburg rushed for 421 yards, while holding Bridgman to 96 yards in total offense.
Devin Bywaters had 179 yards rushing on 14 carries with a pair of touchdowns for the Eddies.
Bywaters scored on runs of 48- and 52-yards.
Adam Kendall added 87 yards on nine totes and a touchdown. Drew Baker scored twice for Edwardsburg.
Kendall’s touchdown run covered 39 stripes.
The Eddies travel to Brandywine on Friday.
