Mary Ann Crespo, 70, South Third Street, Niles, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind., following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Jennifer Dunifin, her niece, officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.

There will be no visitation.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1938, in Galien Township, to John Gowland and Elma Wright.
She graduated from Galien High School and lived in the area all of her life. She had collections of several themes and many antiques.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George Gowland in 1996 and two sisters, Joyce Tillman, in 1980 and Betty Dunifin in 1999.

Survivors include a brother, John Gowland of Florida; Donna Foster of Dublin, Ga.; her companion of 32 years, Robert Morrison; and three generations of nieces and nephews, including Beverly Lewis and JenniferDunifin, who provided her care.

Arrangements were by Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
