BERRIEN SPRINGS – “Collecting Political Memorabilia,” rounds out the “Thursdays at the Museum” program series at the History Center at Courthouse Square in Berrien Springs.

Steve Arseneau, director of the Southwestern Michigan College Museum in Dowagiac will present the program on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m.  The program will be held at the History Center (1839 Courthouse Museum) at 313 N. Cass St. in Berrien Springs.

Campaign buttons, posters and the like have been popular fixtures of American politics ever since the days of the Early Republic. Arseneau brings his passion for these campaign novelties to a fun, informative program on political symbols and their use in the American electoral process.
