Dowagiac tennis, track teams in action Saturday

HAMILTON – The Dowagiac tennis will travel north to take part in the Hamilton Invitational Saturday.

The Chieftains will join host Hamilton, Fruitport and Thornapple-Kellogg in the four-team field.

Play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Paw Paw Lions Invitational

The Dowagiac track team will head to Paw Paw for the annual Lions Track Invitational Saturday.

Also competing along with the Chieftains and host Redskins are Bloomingdale, Comstock, Lake Michigan Catholic, Mattawan, South Haven and Vicksburg.

Gates will open at 8:30 a.m. With the field events set to begin at 9:30. The running preliminaries will start at 9:45 a.m.

The finals in the boys and girls 3,200-meter relays will be held at 10:45 a.m. The running finals will get under way at 12:05 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person.
