Niles third at Allegan; Eddies’ Highley wins title

ALLEGAN — The Niles wrestling team finished third at the Southwest Classic in Allegan Saturday.

The Vikings had 10 wrestlers place, including runners-up Darek Bullock-Mills and Wyatt Thornton.

Edwardsburg finished eighth in the tournament, won by host Allegan.

The Eddies’ Michael Higley was the only area individual champion as he captured the 103-pound title with a 9-4 decision against Portage Northern’s Nolan Smith.
