Niles thrift store moving

Daily Star file photo Dusty Snow, left, and her daughter, Maria Martin, are co-owners of Second Time Around, a thrift store on East Main Street, Niles. The store, which opened in July, has closed and will reopen at a new location in Bridgman.

A Niles thrift store owner says she is relocating her business at the end of the month.

Mother-daughter Dusty Snow and Maria Martin opened Second Time Around on July 16 at 1340 E. Main St.

Martin said the business is moving to a new location at 9486 Red Arrow Highway in Bridgman. She is in the middle of moving inventory to Bridgman and hopes to open there Feb. 1.

“I’ve still got a lot of work to do, but that is my goal,” Martin said.

Martin lives in Sawyer with her three children and said relocating to Bridgman made more sense than continuing to operate out of Niles.

“Niles is a long haul for me and Bridgman is much closer,” she said.

Martin also said her mother found another job.

The Niles location will officially close at the end of the month.
