District soccer draws announced

Host Brandywine drew a first-round bye in the Division 3 District Soccer Tournament will begin Oct. 14.

Dowagiac will host an opening round match against Wolverine Conference West Division for Berrien Springs at 5 p.m.

Buchanan will host perennial state power South Haven at 5 p.m. in the opening round, while Coloma will host Paw Paw at 6 p.m.

The second round will be played Oct. 16. The site has yet to be determined for the Dowagiac-Berrien Springs versus Buchanan-South Haven winners.

Brandywine will host the winner of the Coloma-Paw Paw match at 4:30 p.m.

The championship match is scheduled for Oct. 19 at 4 p.m.

 

Division 2

Sturgis is the host of the Division 2 District Soccer Tournament, which will begin Oct. 15.

Niles will host Mattawan at 5 p.m. in the opening round with the winner advancing to face Edwardsburg at Sturgis High School Oct. 17. That match will begin at 5 p.m.

In the other first round pairings, Lakeshore will host arch rival St. Joseph at 6 p.m. and Three Rivers will travel to Sturgis for a 6 p.m. match.

The Lakeshore-St. Joseph and Three Rivers-Sturgis winners advance to the semifinals Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.

The championship match is slated for Oct. 19 at 10 a.m.
