There is still time to see the 1940s Christmas home at the Edwardsburg Area Historical Museum.

The museum will be closing for the season on Dec. 15 at  2 p.m. with the drawing for a free $100 gift card. To be eligible for the drawing visitors must tour the museum and deposit a ticket in the mystery box.

It is  somewhere in the museum.

During the tour you will get a glimpse of a parlor in the 1940s, the  radio that was a large part of the 1940s home  and  Mother’s baking kitchen and holiday dining table.

Santa has already made a visit and has left gifts under the tree.

In addition to the 1940s house, John and Sally Dalrymple have a portion of their collection of Department 56 lighted houses on display. See the turn of the century feather Christmas tree found in the attic of the Edwardsburg Library.

The museum is open on from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturd and closed on Sunday and Monday.
