Greutman, Conklin win 5K run titles at Cat Tracks 2010

Ryan Greutman of South Bend, Ind. and Sarah Carter Conklin captured the 5K run titles at Cat Tracks 2010 on Saturday at Brandywine High School.

Greutman ran a time of 16:40 to easily win the 5K title. Jeffrey Day of Walkerton, Ind. finished second with a 17:44, while Brandywine product Tyler Weedon was third with a 17:59.

Rounding out the top five were Mathew Morrow of Niles with a 19:35 and Mike Kuelbs of Niles with a 20:01.

Conklin posted a time of 23:05 to finish ahead of Niles’ Susanna Maines, who ran a time of 24:14.

Finishing third was Sheri Harrell of Niles with a 25:08, while Anna Fischer of St. Joseph was fourth and Maureen Fischer of St. Joseph was fifth with times of 26:28 and 27:15 respectively.

David Phillips of Eau Claire and Lisa Swartz, also of Eau Claire, won the men’s and women’s 5K walk titles.

Phillips finished with a time of 38:56 and Swartz a time of 40:00.

Brandon Sietig of Niles finished second in the walk with a time of 42:23. Cody Yoder of Edwardsburg was third with a 43:53 and Brandywine Superintendent John Jarpe fourth with a 47:26.

Finishing second in the women’s race was Niles’ Lynea Sietig with a time of 42:21.
Deb Carter of St. Joseph was third with a 42:59, Courtney Yoder of Edwardsburg was fourth with a 47:59 and Sue Furney of Niles was fifth with a 47:59.
