Drug team finds meth lab

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant Friday in the 65000 block of Brick Church Road in Jefferson Township. One subject was arrested at the scene.
Drug detectives located the remains of multiple methamphetamine labs and components to manufacture methamphetamine. Methamphetamine and meth-related paraphernalia were also found. One firearm was taken by police as well. One minor child was found to be living in the residence. Child Protective Services was contacted.
One adult male was arrested at the scene for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.
That subject was transported to the Cass County Jail and lodged. This matter remains under investigation.
