Walter King Moore Jr., 96, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at West Woods of Niles.

On Oct. 20, 1919, Walter was born to the late Walter K. Sr. and Leta (Berry) Moore in Dover, Arkansas.
On May 19, 2005, he married Shirley J. Kobliska at a ceremony in Buchanan, Michigan.
Walter owned his own painting company for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marilyn Moore, his son Steve Moore, his grandson Seth Moore and his seven siblings.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of Buchanan, his son, Douglas (Kelly) Moore of Buchanan, five step-children; Christopher (Loann) Slater, Jason (Brittany) Slater, Tracy (Richard) Daniels, Brook (Andrea) Slater, and Wendy (Steve) Wall, his four grandchildren; Zach Moore, Walt (Hannah) Moore, Clayton Moore, and Lacy Moore, step-grandchildren Jordan Kelley and Justin Kelley, Christopher Jr., Matthew, Ashley, Ricky, Alicia, Ryan, Brandon, Cole, Gabriella, Malone, Steven, Grey, and Roxie and great-grandchildren; Kylie, Kennedy, Charlotte, and Boyd.
In accordance with Walter’s wishes cremation has taken place and his family will be remembering him privately.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
