Florine was born on June 14, 1922 to Albert and Edith Keeler. She married the “Love of Her Life”, Lowell Morehouse on Dec. 29, 1945. When Lowell passed away in 2001 they had been married for nearly 56 years. They thoroughly enjoyed traveling and had visited most of the states in the lower 48, sharing many of their adventures with their daughters. After Lowell retired, they also enjoyed many hours of relaxation and fun with family and friends at their lake house.

Florine may well be remembered as one of the hardest working women who ever lived. She was a lifelong farmer who, at a very young age, started working the fields alongside her mother and father. After marrying Lowell, who was also a farmer, they purchased their own land and proudly carried on the family farming tradition on the Morehouse Family Centennial Farm. In addition to farming, Florine also used her strong work ethic during her 29 years of employment on the pack-line at Sealed Power Corp. One of the proudest moments of her life was being selected as the plant Employee of the Month.

Surviving Florine are her children Elaine (Charles) Birkmeier of New Lothrop, Michigan and Connie (Scott) Huston of Decatur, Michigan; grandchildren Curt (Amanda Lemaster) Birkmeier of New Lothrop, Dayna (Joel) Hoover of Bay City, Erin (Adam) Jando of Belleville, Heather (Joseph) Pauley of Decatur and Beth (Tim) Warner of Dowagiac; great-grandchildren Ava & Lincoln Jando, Caitlon, Madison and Samantha Pauley and Allison and Jackson Warner; and great-great-granddaughter Lauren Jones. Also surviving Florine are her beloved cousin and lifelong friend Dorothy Hartline and her faithful feline friend Fluffy.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Lowell and a brother, Anton.
