Vince Lynn Wilken, 62, of Edwardsburg, Michigan died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born Sept. 1, 1952, in Mishawaka to Almond and Beulah (Fryatt) Wilken.

Vince had the biggest heart and was extremely loyal, always helping those he loved and those in need. He was not only giving, he was a free spirit with his own sense of humor, easily brightening everyone’s day with jokes and a smile. He was known by all for his love of music and dancing, and shared it generously with those around him.

Surviving family includes his children, Jeremy Wilken of Niles, Michigan; Brooke Wilken (Joshua J. Diliberto) of Yucipa, California; Danyelle (Rocky) Rose of South Bend; and Deanna Wilken of Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren Ava Rose and Karuna Diliberto; and his siblings Kim Wilken of South Bend, Indiana; Iden Wilken of Elkhart, Indiana; and Cheryl Lowery of Buchanan, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Almond and Beulah, and siblings Roger, Myrna, and Diane.

The family of Vince Lynn Wilken will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. A Sharing of Memories for Vince will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Vince may be made to Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness.
