Luella Mae Williams, age 81, of Cassopolis, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac.

She was born Dec. 18, 1933, in South Bend, to Ace and Maggie (Curtis) Elliott. She married Frederick Lyle Williams on Sept. 29, 1950, in Niles, Michigan. He preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Todd Rustin Suseland.

Luella and her husband owned and operated the boat rental on Stone Lake in Cassopolis.

Luella will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Candy (Mark) Zanter of Granger, Indiana, and Lyla Williams of Tampa, Florida; and two grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Graveside in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Sumnerville.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Luella’s name to Diamond Cove Missionary Church, 22820 Diamond Cove St., Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
