Even with cold weather, the Niles annual Easter egg hunt went well.

Around 200 children went through over 4,000 plastic eggs looking for treats and prize slips. All seemed to have a good time.

We want to thank those who contributed: Niles Main Street DDA, McDonald’s, Eagles, Walgreens and Greater Niles Community Federal Credit Union.

I want to thank the young people at the First Presbyterian Church, my Civitan Club and friends for helping to stuff eggs and spreading them at Riverfront Park.

If not for all these people, we could not continue to have an egg hunt.
