Lawrence Harvey Searer, 85, of Jones, died peacefully Monday afternoon, Feb. 2, 2015, in Fairview Living Centre, Centreville.

He was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Jones, Michigan to Orlando and Florence (Withers) Searer. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Norman Searer; two half sisters, Bernice Cox and Vena Trout; and one half brother, Nolan Searer.

Lawrence loved to play bingo, and liked to hunt and fish.

Lawrence will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by one sister, Genevieve Millard of Mendon, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather in late spring at a time and date to be announced for a service at his graveside. Mr. Searer’s remains will be laid to rest next to his brother, Norman, in Poe Cemetery, Newberg Township.
