Anna Marie Fassett, 94, of Decatur passed away Sat. Jan. 10, 2015, in Borgess, Medical Center Kalamazoo.

Anna Marie was born June 2, 1920 in Dowagiac the daughter of August and Nellie Maier. She was a registered Nurse and was formerly employed by St. Mary’s Hospital in South Bend, Ind. She married Stanton F. Fassett Sept. 1, 1945,w  in Dowagiac. He preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Francis and Tom Maier.

Survivors include a daughter Linda (Bill) Florey and son Bernard (Arlene Alsup) Fassett, both of Decatur. Also, survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. in the Newell Funeral Home Decatur were a Vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Massof Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church Decatur with Fr. Robert F. Creagan celebrant. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the church of which she was a member.
