Andrea A. Ruff, 64, of Kalamazoo, previously of Dowagiac passed away on January 8, 2015 at Tendercare of Kalamazoo.

Andrea was born to the late Pastor Stedman and June (Short) Simmons on July 28, 1950 in Flint, Michigan.

A homemaker most of her life Andrea enjoyed spending time with her family. When her children were younger she took pleasure in helping with 4-H and also served as a Girl Scout leader. Andrea also enjoyed many different crafts.

Preceding Andrea are her parents Stedman and June Simmons and also two brothers, Stedman Simmons and Daniel Simmons.

She is survived by her four children, Tonya Gonser of Portage, Michigan, Fred (Monica) Ruff of Ingleside, Texas, Jody (Karen) Ruff of Lawton, Michigan and Lori Ruff of Dowagiac, Michigan, Andrea is also survived by twelve grandchildren.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation may do so to the Dowagiac Missionary Baptist Church in Dowagiac.

In accordance with Andrea’s wishes she has been laid to rest a Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Niles.
