George William Virgil left this life to be with the Lord on Dec. 22, 2014.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Martin Virgil and two daughters, Debra Virgil Shirey (Norman) and Teresa Virgil Herrington (Craig); four grandchildren: Kelly Hiatt, Cameron Herrington, Jason Plummer and Ashley Herrington; three step-grandchildren whom George loved, Brett Shirey, Brandon Shirey and Sara Shirey Hudspeth; four great-grandchildren: Braeden and Addyson Hiatt and Ethan and Elizabeth Hudspeth.

George was born in on Dec 5, 1933 in Buchanan, Michigan. He is survived by one brother, Robert Virgil and many nieces and nephews who loved George dearly.

George was an avid golfer, and served as Deacon at the Community of Christ Church where he and Jean were active and faithful members. George gave his time to numerous local charities. He was loved deeply and will be missed by many.
