Cindy Norris

Cindy was born April 15, 1962 in Buchanan to Thomas and Pauline (Freehling) Longfellow. She graduated from Galien High School in 1980. She married Larry Norris on Feb. 20, 1982, in Galien at the Olive Branch United Methodist Church. Galien was home to Cindy her entire life, raising her family there and serving on the Galien Public School Board. Cindy and Larry owned the Norris Country Corner in Galien for 25 years, selling wood crafts they created, and later selling antiques. Cindy enjoyed trips on the Harley with her husband, sunbathing, gardening, and her pond. She had fun watching her family and friends drag racing at the Osceola Dragway. She was a fan of Jeff Gordon. Cindy’s greatest joy was her family, getting together around the pool, traveling in the motor home to Florida, being there for her children and grandchildren, watching them at home and during their activities.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; children Tommy (Jill) Norris of Galien and Becky Norris of Buchanan; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Caleb; mother Pauline Longfellow of Galien; sister Pam (Dale) Bailey, and brothers Dale Longfellow and Tim Longfellow all of Galien. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia and by her father, Tom.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Pobocik Funeral Home, Three Oaks with Pastor Jeff Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at Galien Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service, the Galien United Methodist Church or to Hospice at Home.
