George died peacefully in Corpus Christy, Texas.

Formerly of Niles, Michigan, he is preceded in death by two sons, Mike and Tom Lutzen; and a grandson, Christopher Lutzen.

He is survived by his wife Gladys; daughter Karen Sherwood; stepdaughter Pamela Gwin; stepsons Larry and Mike Japper, Danny Vaugh and Scott Slocum; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda (Fred) Leet.

George is too well loved to be forgotten.
