Kathy Marie Schuler, age 56 years, of Niles, Michigan died at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles.

She was born on Dec. 29, 1957 in Saint Joseph, Michigan to Karl and Jeanette (Kublick) Schuler.

Kathy loved to cook, and made birthday cakes and wedding cakes for many special occasions.

She is survived by her children, Anthony (and Mary) Johns of Buchanan, Michigan, Susan Schoff and David (and Kelly) Schoff, Jr., both of Niles; grandchildren D.J., Lexi, Kimberly, Kyle, Gavin, Abagail, and Nathan; one great-grandson, Carter; siblings Donna (and Nick) Nichols of Columbia, South Carolina, Karen (and Gary) Wilson of Irmo, South Carolina, Tim (and Nancy) Schuler of Palm Bay, Florida, Jeff Schuler of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Lisa (and Kary) Combs of Matthews, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Schoff.

The family of Kathy Marie Schuler will receive relatives and friends at the Halbritter Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014.
