Ann M. Hiter, 85, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.
Ann was born on Dec. 14, 1928 in Clyde, North Carolina. On Dec. 30, 1950 Ann wed Melvin Hiter at a ceremony in Waynesville, North Carolina. Together the two had five children. Ann loved flowers and enjoyed spending time in her garden, quilting, crocheting and knitting.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; her sons, Phillip and James Hiter and brother, Junior Ledford.
Ann is survived by her sons, Larry, Danny and Charles Hiter all of Niles; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Dow (Betty) Ledford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Martha (Frank) Green of Fines Creek, North Carolina, Frona Ledford of Fines Creek, and Lori of Walnut Grove, North Carolina.
A time of visitation will be held at Mission Hills in Niles on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m.
