The Dowagiac Lions Club wishes to thank the hundreds of individual contributors and our corporate sponsors for a successful 2014 “White Cane” campaign.

The money that was raised will allow the Lions to continue to provide assistance to Dowagiac citizens who need help with their vision and hearing needs.

Thanks go to Lions Ron Behnke, who coordinated the children’s poster contest, and Lion Lyle Taylor and his wife Patsy, who mailed letters and paid for the postage. Lions Ron Behnke, Ron Ganger, Ron Jones, Bob Longway, John Meiser, John Rice, Brent Robinson, Bruce Springsteen, Lyle Taylor and Mike Yauchstetter  “hit the street” to collect funds on June 5, 6, and 7.

Our corporate sponsors were: Ausra Equipment and Supply, Beeson Street Bar and Grill, Burling and Gillesby  D.D.S., Hales True Value Hardware, Hannapel Home Center, Imperial Furniture, Judd Lumber Company and Rental Center, Skibbe Business and Tax Service, Turf Services and Williams A-1 Expert Tree Service.

Individual contributions were made by Lion Herb Anderson, Lion Ivan Guilt, Marion Jones, Lion John Rice and Lion Ned Sutherland.
