Beverly A. Brown, 64, of Dowagiac, passed away in her home, Friday, May 23, 2014.

A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday May 29, 2014, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Lonnie Carpenter officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Reverence Home Health & Hospice. Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Beverly online may do so at www.clarkch.com.

Beverly was born in South Bend, Indiana on Nov. 18, 1949, to Max and Beverly (Cato) Stoops.

She moved to Dowagiac in 1965 and graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1968. Later that year she married Jack Brown in Dowagiac, where they made
their home.

Beverly was a homemaker; she loved having the holidays with her family in her home. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies and potato salad.

Beverly was an avid bowler; she belonged to the United States Bowling Congress, serving on the local board. Beverly was also a member of the Moose Club.

She is survived by her husband Jack Brown; three children, Ann (Tony) Jones, of Keeler, Michigan, Stacy (Jeri) Brown of Three Rivers, Michigan, Angela (John) Best, of Dowagiac; her grandchildren, Elizabeth and A.J Jones of Keeler, Michigan, Sawyer and Travis Brown of Three Rivers, Michigan, Dustin Tincher, Makayla and Gavin Best of Dowagiac, Michigan; sister, Sandy Myers; a brother, John (Faye) Buscoe.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gene Cenova and a brother in law Ron Myers.
