Brandywine plays long ball against Mustangs

The Brandywine softball team used 12 extra base hits, including three home runs, to sweep a non-league doubleheader from visiting River Valley Wednesday.

The Bobcats (6-1) scored 16 runs in the seventh inning to win the opening game 21-1 over the Mustangs. In the nightcap, Makenna Hartline, Kelly Harper and Morgan Crocker all homered in an 7-1 victory.

Brandywine finished with 20 hits in the first game, including a pair of doubles each from Harper and Aryalynn Lasane. Makenna Hartline and Crocker also doubled.

In the nightcap, Michaela Hartline had a pair of doubles and Crocker had another two-bagger.
