Jeffrey R. Schonbok, 56, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at Lakeland Hospital in Niles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 3, at Pleasant View Church of Christ, 60550 Crooked Creek Rd., Cassopolis, with Jason Little officiating. The family wishes to express that dress clothing is optional as Jeff preferred jeans and a t-shirt. In keeping with Jeff’s wishes cremation has taken place. Jeff was born on June 27, 1957 in Niles to Bernard A. & Nancy (Cushing) Schonbok. On June 5, 1982 he married Sara Goad in Rensselaer, Ind. Jeff loved bowling and anything connected to bowling. He was an extreme and avid Chicago Bears and University of Michigan fan. Jeff had worked as a pinsetter mechanic and most recently as a meat cutter at Harding’s Market in Dowagiac.

Jeff is survived by his wife of almost 32 years, Sara; a son, Kyle (Rickelle) Schonbok of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; a daughter, Carrie (Jason) Little of Cassopolis; a son, Greg Schonbok also of Cassopolis; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Noah Little; and a sister, Debra Schonbok, of Niles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Nicole; and his brother, Doug.
