My wife Teri and I had the great good fortune of attending last weekend’s performance by SMC’s Theater and Music departments of the musical Parade. It was an exhilarating and illuminating experience. We were impressed by the significant wealth of talent onstage and in the pit. It is important to recognize that this gathering of so many wonderful, creative artists would not have been possible — nor would it have reached its full potential — without the guidance of Paul Mow, David Carew, and Jon Korzon.

I would also like to commend SMC for fostering an atmosphere wherein young people can aspire to such challenging and thought-provoking work. The students’ horizons have been broadened, and, hopefully, their understanding of the world has been deepened. That is, after all, the mission of higher education and art.
