Charles Singleton Jr., 81, of Dowagiac, passed away Aug. 19, 2013, at his home.

Charles was born on March 28, 1932, in South Bend, Ind., to Charles and Lovena (Phillips) Singleton Sr.

Charles is survived by: sons: Kevin Singleton, Mark Singleton and Brian Singleton; brothers, Walter Singleton, William Singleton, Jack Singleton, Ron Singleton and Ed Singleton; sisters, Dorothy Grenert, Delores Helfman, Rose Grenert and Clara Riggs; grandchildren, Cheryl Friske, Christopher Singleton and Christina Singleton; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Friske and Zachary Friske.

Charles, an Air Force veteran, is preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Kenneth and Lester Singleton; and sisters, Ruby Jones, Shirley Brown and Alice Cox.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 p..m.with the service at noon at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan.

Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
