ST. JOSEPH — Michael Robbins, who competed in track and cross country at Brandywine, finished fourth in the Chemical Bank Run for YMCA in St. Joseph Saturday.

Cameron Bredice, of Bridgman, who competed against Robbins in the Lakeland Conference, captured the 5K run with a time of 18:01.

Brian Njuguna, also of Bridgman, was second with a time of 18:21. Robbins’ time was 19:08.

Dowagiac’s top finisher in the 5K run was Deyonte Sullivan, who was 52nd with a time of 26:16.

Alissa Frazee, of Watervliet, was the top female finisher with a time of 21:34.

Michael Gray, of Niles, was the men’s 60-69 age division winner with a clocking of 28:22.

Lucas Copi, of St. Joseph, captured the 10K run title with a time of 35:18. Dianne

Fisher, of Rocky River, Ohio, won the women’s 10K with a time of 38:59.

Niles’ Andrea Groote was 14th overall with a time of 48:11.

Nada Kramp, of Stevensville, and Mark Nisbet, of St. Joseph, won the women’s and men’s 5K walk titles with times of 35:21 and 38:59 respectively.

Pam Behm, of Niles, tied for ninth place overall with a clocking of 44:51.

Dowagiac’s top finisher in the 5K walk was Andi Smallbone, who was 31st with a time of 49:50.

Many of these runners and walkers will now turn their focus to Steve’s Run Saturday. The race begins in downtown Dowagiac at 9 a.m.
