NEW CARLISLE — Mary Jane Wagoner, 92, passed away Nov. 1, 2012 at Hamilton Grove in New Carlisle, Ind.

Mary was married to Donald Wagoner of Niles, Mich., on Oct. 18, 1941. She raised Wayne; Don’s young son from a prior marriage. She did a wonderful job raising him for the rest of her life.

Mary’s daughter Mary Beth was born in December 1942. Beth lived a life of love and caring and actions similar to the pattern lived by her mother. Beth passed away in 2011, and her husband, Gaylord Smith survives. Don Wagoner was a good farmer. He and his wife Mary started with nothing and ended up owning a fine farm. He died of MS in 1982.

Mary was a happy person. She served the Portage Prairie Church in Niles, Mich., faithfully for many years. She devoted her life to her farm, her family, and her friends. She created wonderful memories for her grandchildren. To those who helped her, visited with her and took care of her please know how much you meant to Mary and her family. She lived a long and happy life and we will all miss her.
