Tommy Rees will be the starting quarterback for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this fall according to Irish coach Brian Kelly.

Kelly and his wife Paqui were being honored with a Grand Valley State Leadership Award Wednesday night when a reporter for the Grand Rapids Press asked him about his quarterback situation.

Kelly told the reporter that with Everett Golson gone due to academic suspension, that Rees would be his starter. He said that Andrew Hendrix and Malik Zaire would contribute, but Rees would definitely be the starter.
