William Charles Hullinger Sr., 84, of Niles passed away at his home unexpectedly but of natural causes on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

Bill was born to the late Ray and Inez (Kelver) Hullinger on Nov. 27, 1928 in Crumstown, Ind.

On Aug. 28, 1948 he married Elizabeth “Boots” Klimek at a ceremony in Kentucky.

Bill was employed for many years at Studebaker’s, Clark Equipment and Niles Precision.  He was an outdoorsman through and through.  He loved golfing, fishing, deer hunting, mushroom hunting and especially enjoying his summers with his family at their cottage on Cedar Lake in Marcellus.  Bill was also an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed going to their bookstore. Bill and Boots also had many great memories with their close friends through the years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Buchanan Moose Lodge.

Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years Elizabeth “Boots” Hullinger, his son William “Bill”(Phyllis) Hullinger, Jr. of Baroda, and his daughter Susan (Paul) Weldy of Niles.  He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren; Kathy (Chuck) Cubine, Amy (Matt) Stoll, William (Jennifer) Hullinger III, Brian McCombs, Brittney McCombs, Taylor Weldy, and Toby Weldy and nine great-grandchildren, his two brothers Ray Hullinger of South Bend and Robert Hullinger of Niles.

Services for Bill will be Monday, May 20, 2013 at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m.  Visitation will be Sunday May 19, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m.
